Oroklini Beach — 2 Minutes on Foot
Your local beach is Oroklini Beach, a stretch of golden sand with shallow, calm water that's perfect for families with young children. The beach is less crowded than the city beaches, giving it a peaceful, almost private feel. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available for hire during summer, and the beach promenade connects you to cafes and the nearby Radisson Beach Resort.
Finikoudes Beach — 15 Minutes by Car
Larnaca's most famous beach, Finikoudes is a Blue Flag certified stretch of sand along the palm-lined promenade. The water is clean, shallow, and warm throughout summer. Lifeguards are on duty, and the full range of facilities — showers, changing rooms, restaurants — are right on the seafront. It's the social hub of Larnaca.
Mackenzie Beach — 15 Minutes by Car
Just south of Finikoudes, Mackenzie Beach is popular with younger crowds and water sports enthusiasts. Lifeguards patrol year-round, and the beach has excellent facilities including bars, restaurants, and equipment hire for jet skis, paddleboards, and parasailing. The beach is directly under the airport flight path — watching planes land overhead is part of the experience.
Water Sports
All three beaches offer water sports during summer: jet skiing, paddleboarding, kayaking, banana boats, and parasailing. Equipment rental is available directly on the beaches. For scuba diving, several PADI-certified operators in Larnaca offer courses and guided dives to the famous Zenobia shipwreck — one of the top dive sites in the world.

- The swimming season runs from May to October, with water temperatures peaking at 28°C in August.
- Bring reef-safe sunscreen — the Cyprus sun is strong, especially between 11am and 3pm.
- Most beaches have free public areas alongside lounger rental zones.
