Ayia Napa Day Trip

Ayia Napa is one of Cyprus's most famous destinations, known for its crystal-clear waters, dramatic coastline, and vibrant nightlife. It's just a 45-minute drive from Oroklini Beach House, making it an easy and rewarding day trip.

Nissi Beach

One of the most photographed beaches in the Mediterranean, Nissi Beach features powdery white sand, turquoise water, and a small island connected to the shore by a shallow sandbar you can walk across. From May to October, it's a lively scene with beach bars, DJs, and water sports. Arrive early to claim your spot — it gets busy by mid-morning in peak summer.

Cape Greco National Park

At the southeastern tip of Cyprus, Cape Greco is a protected natural park with dramatic sea caves, towering cliffs, and some of the clearest water on the island. Highlights include the natural rock arch known as the Love Bridge, perfect for photos, and the sea caves that are accessible by foot or kayak. The park also has well-marked hiking trails along the clifftops with breathtaking views.

Fig Tree Bay, Protaras

Just past Ayia Napa in the quieter town of Protaras, Fig Tree Bay is consistently rated one of Europe's best beaches. The shallow turquoise water, fine golden sand, and the iconic fig tree on the shore make it a family favourite. It's less rowdy than Nissi Beach and has excellent facilities — a great option if you're travelling with children.

Konnos Bay

Tucked into a small cove between Ayia Napa and Protaras, Konnos Bay is a sheltered beach surrounded by pine-covered hills. The calm, shallow water is ideal for snorkelling, and there's a laid-back beach bar for refreshments. The drive down the winding road to the bay is scenic in itself.

Nightlife

Ayia Napa's nightlife is legendary — the main strip is packed with clubs, bars, and live music venues that run from sunset until sunrise. It's especially lively from June to September. Even if clubbing isn't your scene, the harbour area offers more relaxed restaurants and cocktail bars with sea views.

Getting There

From Oroklini Beach House, take the A3 motorway east — it's a straightforward 40 km drive (about 45 minutes). Parking is available at all major beaches, though it fills up quickly in July and August, so arrive before 10am for the best spots.
